Botetourt County’s Fire and Rescue Services are currently provided through the support of twelve volunteer fire and rescue agencies and one supplemental career department. With nearly 200 volunteers, services are provided to all Botetourt residents and non-residents 24 /7. An immeasurable amount of time and energy is given to keep the residents of Botetourt County safe. Over-all goal: To provide a professional level of service to reduce the loss of life and property in Botetourt County while maintaining a proactive stance on prevention and public education. The Botetourt County Volunteers come from all walks of life. From junior members training in high school to seniors, now retired and wanting to help in their community, volunteering for fire, rescue or both has taken on new meaning for many members.
