Getting Involved

Fire and Rescue Services are one of the most diverse and challenging organizations today.  It is the diversity of the service which inspire men and women to enter emergency services.

Volunteering for fire and rescue services are not for everyone. Volunteer are courageous, generous, hard working and dedicated. They face challenges not experienced by average citizens. They sacrifice their time to attend training, maintain equipment and respond to emergencies. Their work is both mentally and physically challenging. But yet, these volunteers thrive in what are often hazardous environments, taking charge and making a difference in the lives of others.

Volunteering can be an exciting and rewarding way to help your friends and neighbors. It also gives you a sense of accomplishment. Few people have the opportunity to save a life.  Few will ever experience the exhilarating feeling gained through the realization that their actions have profoundly and positively affected the lives of a friend or neighbor.

Giving back to your community by helping a neighbor, saving a life...there is no work more noble, no personal accomplishment more satisfying.
